Jacob was born in the meat-and-potatoes town of Puyallup Washington USA in the year of the fire dragon 1977. His path to filmmaking was illuminated at the age of twelve, when his father took him to a university lecture by Hollywood wizards Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy.

He was then lost in the semi-precious outpost of Tucson Arizona for a time, before eventually finding a compass and following it to California, in order to fulfill some vague prophecy.

He enjoys things that are new, and American football. He prefers a little anarchy, and believes the best way to cure a bad mood is to dance it out. He's bad at taking his own advice.
